COB.02 by Manufacture Concepto
At the heart of the watch beats the exclusive COB.02 caliber, developed in collaboration with Concepto in La Chaux-de-Fonds - one of the leading manufacturers of mechanical movements in Switzerland. The automatic chronograph movement with bi-compax layout consists of 225 components, offers a power reserve of 48 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).
The specially developed rotor in the shape of the Hockenheimring makes the movement unique - a framed ruby marks the exact point where the original asphalt was taken. The geodata depicted on the rotor leads directly to the finish line. The finest finishes such as Côte-de-Genève, anthracite-coated bridges and hand-finished steel parts underline the high standards of technology, aesthetics and exclusivity.
The dial
Over 60 years of racetrack asphalt from the Hockenheimring
The dial is made of real race track asphalt - an absolute novelty in the world of watches and our unique selling point. The original surface was taken from the start and finish area of the legendary Hockenheimring on April 23, 2025 and handcrafted into a 0.9 mm thick, coarsely textured dial. Each dial is unique with tangible racing DNA. Indexes and hands are provided with Swiss Superluminova and guarantee optimum readability - day and night.
Case
Forged Carbon Fiber
The case is made of two-tone forged carbon fiber, combined with a bezel made of scratch-resistant black ceramic including a tachymeter scale. With a diameter of 44 mm, a height of 15.6 mm and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, the model is water-resistant to 100 m (10 ATM). The screw-down crown is equipped with a triple sealing system and the sapphire crystal back is also screw-down.
Strap
Natural rubber
The strap is made of high-quality, durable natural rubber (FKM 70 Shore) and ensures maximum wearing comfort - even under extreme conditions. The Hockenheim Edition features a solid stainless steel pin buckle with an elegantly engraved COBLOR® logo - robust, functional and stylish at the same time.
Packaging
100% hard cardboard
The packaging was awarded the prestigious German Packaging Award in 2023. The jury praised the outstanding overall concept, design and graphic design of the packaging.
The box is made entirely of paper and cardboard and is inspired by the structure of a drill core: several layers of solid-colored cardboard are precisely laminated on top of each other to symbolize the characteristic layering of the racetrack asphalt. The side hinged doors provide space for certificates and other documents.
